We’re proud to announce Red Door Animal Shelter as the official charity partner of the 2017 Bunny Rock Chicago! Red Door Animal Shelter is a no-kill shelter committed to helping animals in need. Its primary focus is on the rescue, shelter and adoption of cats, dogs and rabbits—the three most popular pets in the United States.
Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up:
Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up will be available at the following dates and locations:
- Thursday, April 13: 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. Road Runner Sports KILDEER (20291 N Rand Rd #105, Kildeer, IL 60074)
- Friday, April 14: 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. Road Runner Sports CHICAGO (Old Town) (1435 N Kingsbury St, Chicago, IL 60642)
Race Day Packet Pick-Up:

What You Get:
All 5k Participants will receive bunny ears, sunglasses, a dri-fit t-shirt, goody bag, and A FINISHER MEDAL.
All Kid’s Egg Hunt participants will receive a race bib and egg basket. Egg Hunt will have over 3000 eggs and every kid is guaranteed to get eggs! NEW: This year’s egg hunt will have 4 waves based on age. Ages 2-3, 4-5, 6-7 and 8-10
Strollers, Dogs, and Walkers:
Strollers and Walkers are welcome! We just ask that you start in the back of the pack. Dogs are NOT allowed.
Huge live petting zoo with over 20 animals that include ducks, goats, lambs, donkeys, and more!
The Bunny Rock Chicago 5k is an officially timed event using the disposable B-Tag timing system. Timing chips are attached directly to the back of your bib number and are to remain adhered for the duration of the event. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm your bibs is:
- Clearly visible on the front of the torso
- Unaltered and unmodified (Do not fold or wrinkle)
- Pinned in all four corners
- Not covered (jackets, runner belts, water bottles, etc.)
Results will be posted on-site, as soon as possible following the event and official results will be posted on our website within 24 hours.
Location & Parking:
Free parking is available around the streets at Montrose Harbor. We strongly encourage carpooling or taking public transportation.
The Wilson red & purple CTA lines are only a few blocks away from the start as well.
The top three Male & Female Finishers in each age group for the 5K will receive a customized medal. The top three overall Male and Female Finishers will receive a customized plaque.

Since the Easter Bunny has many upfront costs, we have a strict and uniform policy of no refunds or exchanges, no person-to-person transfer, or no deferrals to a future year. We do understand that plans change, injuries happen, and various holiday festivities and situations arise, but, we feel it is most fair to apply a uniform policy to all, instead of a subjective line of who should receive a refund and who doesn’t. All purchases and sales are 100% final, no exceptions. Refunds will not be issued based on weather conditions. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
